The Groundhog
The Groundhog is a monthly community newspaper
published by the Mentone Area Preservation Association.
The publication was conceived on Groundhog Day, 1982, and organized on April 5, 1982, for the purpose of protecting the heritage, natural environment and other unique qualities of life in the Mentone area. The Groundhog has been continuously published for the last 36 years.
We distribute between 4,200-5,000 copies to more than 80 locations in Mentone, Valley Head, Hammondville, and Fort Payne, AL, as well as in Menlo, Cloudland, and Summerville, GA.
